Quality Engineer
Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Quality Engineer! We’re a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for coordinating plant FSQA operations. You will direct Quality team members in adhering to FSQA protocols, lead continuous improvement projects, and analyze process capabilities. You will collaborate with Quality leaders to identify areas for process improvement and ensure application of regulatory and company standards. Additionally, you will promote FSQA measures and train team members in quality standards and procedures.

A Day in the Life...

• ​​Responsible for coordinating and directing operations and quality personnel to assure adherence with all aspects of a quality system that supports the production of safe, high quality product within design limits compliance​. • ​​Leads continuous process improvement projects by applying an organized problem solving plan using Ocean Spray Continuous Improvement tools, general statistical tools, and process control and capability analysis​. • ​​Responsible for training of employees in quality standards and lab testing and product analysis​. • ​​Assures regulatory, company standards, and Food Safety Quality Programs are in-place and implemented within a team work environment working 7/24 schedules by assisting the Quality Manager in the identification and remediation of gaps in current Quality practices, processes, procedures, and controlled documentation​. ​• ​Supports and promotes food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment​. • ​​Have understanding and knowledge of the SQF code​.

What We Are Looking For:

• ​​​​Experience with food/beverage Food Safety and quality systems​ • ​​​​Technical skills​ • ​​​​Experience with statistical process control (SPC), failure mode effect analysis (FMEA), process capability studies, statistical and quality sampling software, etc.​ • ​​​​Influential​ • ​​​​Good interpersonal skills​ • ​​​​Business management skills​ • ​​​​Great communication skills​ • ​​​​SQF or other GFSI scheme​ • ​​​​Experience in the application of HACCP Principles​

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

Work Experience:

At least 1 Year of Experience
