Quality Engineer (Direct Placement with Client)
  Quality Engineer (Direct Placement with Client) Sigma Design has collaborated with a manufacturing company seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their facility in White Salmon, Washington. This company specializes in the design and manufacture of advanced composite products. The company is known for its expertise in creating high-performance, lightweight, and durable components used in a variety of industries, including aerospace, automotive, sports equipment, and industrial applications. This role is in-office in White Salmon, WA. The pay range is $70,000-$110,000/year DOE. What is offered: + Employer contributes 84% of the employee only cost of medical plus a $1250/year Health Savings Account contribution.  + PTO: 40 hours paid after one year, 80 hours paid after 2 years, 120 hours paid after 3 years, 160 hours paid after 10 years + Bonus program: Monthly and annual bonuses provided. Amount based on company performance, and employee contribution and longevity. + 401K - Company matches up to 4%, immediate vesting schedule + Dog friendly + Career growth Primary Function: The Quality Engineer analyzes, interprets, implements and monitors product quality requirements of internal and external customers. Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities: + Creates and implements inspection plans for new programs and updates current programs as necessary. + Supports engineers in process validations, process control, process training, process improvement, and risk management. + Reviews customer requirements and assists Engineering to ensure that contractual and technical requirements are met. + Collects and evaluates product data, develops and monitors quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI). + Serves as resource for problem identification, improvement, and resolution. + Interfaces with internal/external customers and vendors to identify and resolve quality issues. Assists with internal and external customer audits. + Assists in implementation of effective corrective actions. + Identifies resource requirements in personnel, methods, machines, tooling, and test equipment needed to determine product quality. + Provides leadership in data usage and structured problem-solving. + Supports Quality Manager with maintenance and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS). Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) ​​​​​​ + Bachelor's Degree required. + 5-10 years of experience in a related field. + Self-motivated individual who takes initiative to complete tasks. + Experience in identifying and resolving issues using standard quality tools, e.g. fishbone, FMEA, 5Why, Risk Analysis, DMAIC problem-solving + Knowledge of and experience with ISO/AS9100 and NADCAP requirements + Good computer skills with an aptitude in MS Office + Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills + Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and 3D models + Familiar with statistical methods/SPC, data analysis and root cause analysis + Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing + Detail oriented with strong organizational skills + Demonstrate strong leadership in enforcing and improving quality standards + Work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve common results and goals + Experience with composite materials and lean manufacturing a plus + Strong written and verbal English language communication skills. + Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group. + Pass a post-offer background verification and drug screen. Work Environment    Engineering: Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions.
