TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc., has an opening in its Anderson, SC office for a Quality Engineer II that will use quality assurance/control process sampling systems, procedures, and analytic tools to ensure high quality products are being delivered to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide quality input on New Product Development projects. This includes product testing requirements, product history, and dFMEA collaboration.Drive the Continuous Improvement of quality processes, product quality, and product reliability based on customer reviews, customer returns, and product warranty data.Analyze return goods and defect trend data to drive investigations on product quality and reliability.Interact with manufacturing counterparts and suppliers in Asia to drive product and manufacturing investigations and corrective actions.Provide Supplier Quality Support with suppliers, including development of parts and assemblies, improvement of process capabilities and drive Root Cause/Corrective Actions when necessary.Own the 8D CAPA investigations for product and process related customer complaints.Inspect, test, and analyze components and products for conformance to specificationsDevelop inspection instructions and procure inspection equipment.Perform audits to assure procedures are being followed at suppliers, global manufacturing locations, and receiving warehouses.Gather data and authors reports to indicate progress toward company goals and objectivesConduct cross-functional meetings on continuous improvementPerforms other duties as assignedRequirements
4-year college degree or equivalent experience in a technical role3-5 years' experience as a quality, design or project engineer with progressive responsibilityExperience driving product investigations using formal corrective and preventive action process such as 8D, A5, or other CAPA processesKnowledge of industry QMS such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO13485, or IATF-16949 and/or certification as CQE, CQA, or Six-Sigma would be beneficial but is not requiredAble to travel internationally and domestically. <5% travel expected.
