Job Description:

The Quality Engineer II performs hands on more complex testing activities: test design, test creation and/or process support within a well-defined functional area to support the delivery of quality solutions by designing and automating tests and/or creating/enhancing automation frameworks.

Depth & Scope:

Advanced knowledge of specific domain and quality engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and proceduresAdvanced knowledge of coding practices, testing, and debugging to develop and maintain resilient automated test scripts; hands on experience writing automated scripts using industry standard frameworksStrong debugging and problem-solving skills; investigates and analyzes potential solutions to problemsPerforms complex testing automation autonomouslyDeep knowledge of in scope TD business and systems, practices, business / organization, Bank standardsStrong knowledge in new / advanced techniques and approaches in testing and automation (e.g., BDD, Machine Learning, etc.)Future focused- foresee issues and gaps and identifies industry trendsCollaborative team player and ability to play a leadership role in the team

Education & Experience:

BS degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline; or equivalent practical experience3+ years of relevant experience

Customer Accountabilities:

Hands on role focused on test automation activities with high level of complexity As a Test Lead for small complexity initiatives, accountable for implementing effective test strategies and plans, test design / development test case automation and test execution to achieve business outcomesProvides QE leadership, direction and feedback throughout the development and design process; provides test development / automation support to ensure that the quality of the intended solution is metLeverages strong knowledge to understand technical solutions to build optimized test approaches, inclusive of the tooling strategyStrong knowledge of test data management to reuse automated test data provisioning capabilitiesEffectively engineers and leverages tools and Engineering practices (DevOps tools and processes, source code management, Service Virtualization, monitoring tools, etc.)Implements functional and/or non-functional automation frameworks (performance, readiness / reliability testing (ORT), accessibility, security) including script development and execution, and ensures automated tests are integrated into the Continuous Integration (CI), delivery, and testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelinesPlays a key role in developing, documenting, and proactively identifying end-to-end test solution designs and early automation opportunitiesWorks collaboratively with the development team to define and validate user stories, acceptance criteria and Definition of Done (DoD) / Ready (DoR)Applies the principles of behavior / Test Driven Development (BDD / TDD) and focus on value driven outcomesLeads Proof of Concepts (POCs)  to evaluate new technologies geared towards better, faster, more secure testing activities (such as Service Virtualization, DevOps, BDD, Test Data Management)

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of hands on knowledge and good expertise in Wealth Management platform.3+ years of direct experience with Tosca automation tool, preferably with AS1 and AS2 certifications.3+ years of hands on experience in writing test plans and end to end test planning.3+ years of direct knowledge in Agile and Jira test management framework.
