Quality Engineer (M365 suite)

Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for a Quality Engineer (M365 suite) for their New York, NY location. Responsibilities:
+ The Quality Specialist/Engineer role brings a ‘testing mindset’ to the team and is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. Individuals are a subject matter expert on testing practices ensuring the testing strategy and processes are well defined and continuously improved for the team or teams.
+ Establishing a test and automation strategy
+ Creating common test frameworks
+ Defining and managing test processes including:
+ Test data generation
+ Defect management
+ Reporting
+ The Quality Specialist/Engineer is part of a centralized team within the Productivity Architecture Engineering organization.
+ They support and maintain the compliance through the various systems, processes and tollgates related to the operation and development of the application/services.
The Quality Specialist/Engineer will be aligned to specific technology groups within team which are:
+ M365 Teams Skype
+ Workspaces (M365 OneDrive SharePoint Online)
+ Robotics (M365 Power Apps Automate)
+ Client (Workstation client packaging)
+ Email Infrastructure
+ Core (M365 licensing and infrastructure)
+ Security Compliance (M365 Defender, Email Routing)
+ Create and optimize test processes including defect management and reporting.
+ Contribute to building quality into the System Design Lifecycle (SDLC) using best practices and tools.
+ Create a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, and Backend, etc.).
+ Create and optimize test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools.
+ Lead test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams.
+ Ensure alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders.
+ Optimize test suites employing techniques such risk-based testing.
+ Manage test execution and assist with resolving, communicating or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance.
+ Contribute to test data management approach, processes and tools.
+ Condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments.
+ Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data.
+ Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary.
+ Create and manage traceability. Trace tests forwards/backwards through the design lifecycle and back to requirements.
+ Use testing tools and follow processes to complete testing on a given test environment and assist with fulfilment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments.
Requirements:
+ Strong Knowledge
+ Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework Jira
+ Understands the roles and responsibilities of other teams who participate in the system design lifecycle and engages as required.
+ Can demonstrate expertise in various testing strategies and tools.
+ Ability to support continuous integration and deployment activities.
+ Understands the DevOps culture.
+ Experience testing Microsoft 365 products, services, business flows and understanding of financial context in which technology and operating principles are used within the business area.
+ Possesses an understanding of architecture and bank standards.
+ Can support testing of architecture designs and implementations.
+ Excellent action management and prioritization to ensure deadlines are not missed
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as technical, process and reporting skills
+ Strong analytical skills and use of testing tools to report and track defects.
+ For each Quality Specialist/Engineer aligned area, a basic understanding of the technologies and architectures is a requirement.
