Quality Engineer (Steel Department)
Job Purpose

Dana Belgium NV is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer (Steel Department) to join our Quality Department. The successful candidate will support operations by deploying a strong quality-focused discipline, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. 

Key responsabilities Comply with all relevant regulations, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. Support operations by implementing quality-focused tasks and responsibilities. Manage and improve SPC/MSA across the CNC area and support process monitoring implementation (Q-DAS). Handle complete management of suppliers in the CNC area, including creating and sending complaints and evaluating suppliers. Regularly review and update parameters of incoming goods inspection. Register and handle supplier complaints and evaluate received 8D reports. Organize and supervise sorting/follow-up work in case of quality complaints. Maintain contact with external companies involved in quality assurance tasks. Prepare cost allocation per suppliers for the finance department. Block and release components in the company management system. Actively participate in external and internal audits and support the change management process. Utilize quality assurance tools and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports, Pareto analysis, and cost analysis. Identify and eliminate causes of non-compliance in production indicators. Prepare 8D reports for customer complaints. Supervise and coordinate quality assurance technicians. Qualifications BSc Degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and knowledge of measuring techniques. Practical use of quality management tools and structured problem-solving abilities. Self-directed, motivated, and able to handle stressful situations professionally. Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, APQP, and PPAP. Fluent in English and Dutch (speaking and writing). Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO standards), technical skills, engineering drawings, and AIAG core tools.
