We will make sure you have the knowledge needed to be successful, but you will hit the ground running!  We will do our best to prepare you for full-time employment so we can confidently encourage you to apply for our positions after graduation.  This position will provide administrative and technical support of quality systems within Daktronics' Factories.  + Assist the Factory Quality group in gathering process data for components or parts that have issues.  + Perform measurement, test, inspection, and sorting activities which requires visual touch involving visual activity and fine motor skills.  + Support Factory Quality activities, including the evaluation of components and assemblies for first articles and continuous improvement.  + Support Factory Quality Management System: Non-Conformances (NC), Temporary Deviation Request (Variance), Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA), or others as implemented at Daktronics. + Perform and document audits of the production lines to determine level of compliance to quality control requirements. + Organize data and develop reports to support Factory Quality needs.  + Attention to detail and professionalism in email communication with internal and external stakeholders.  + Ability to learn basic statistical applications and analysis.  + Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet company goals and/or customer expectations.  Check out ourDaktronics Student Career Video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pStEvwhSnkE) .   What is the pay and perks? The typical hiring pay for this position is $19.00/hour to $22.00/hour. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation. Students with GPA of 3.5 and above are eligible for a $500 bonus (Academic Excellence Reward) each semester completed while employed. Qualifications Academic requirements:   + Candidate must be enrolled as a student and registered in at least 12 credits.  + Preferred candidate would be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related degree.     + Preferred applicant would be in their sophomore or junior year of school.   + Only strong academic performers will be considered. Must maintain an acceptable GPA, preference to 3.0 GPA or greater.  + Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application to be considered.  Other Requirements:  + Applicants should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer. + Computer software experience to include AutoCAD, with Creo preferred but not required.   + Good oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, self-motivation.  + Fluent in English, both written and verbal.   + Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team.   + Ability to work with minimum supervision.   + Ability to learn quickly.   + Ability to effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.   + Physical Requirements include the ability to:   + Work with or around odors (solder/paint/solvent/Manufacturing odors).   + Lift and carry up to 45lbs. and/or awkward items.    + Be able to stand for the full shift.   + Ability to meet all workplace safety requirements.  + Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.  + Daktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this position.  Daktronics is an equal opportunity employer.
