Quality Engineer - Teardown

What you'll do...

Lead and coordinate current model program delivery of:

Provide technical support to aid in improving quality systems and lead all supplier concern resolution Utilizes Manufacturing Site Assessment to improve supplier quality Responsible for ongoing part incoming quality, including product launch Work with the STA on PPAP compliance to Ford Specific Guidelines Drive Supplier continuous improvement and support 6-Sigma and Ford cross-functional matched pair initiatives as required Drive robust Supplier Failure Mode Avoidance through PFMEA, SCCAF, Control Plan, Manufacturing Feasibility review and Health chart deployment as applicable Lead Supplier development of interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D methodology and structured problem-solving tools

You'll have... 

Education: Bachelor of Science/ Engineering, or academic equivalentSix Sigma Certification

Manufacturing/Technology engineering work experienceAutomotive experienceExperience in Quality systems, tools and techniquesProject management experienceSupply/Crisis Management ExperienceExperience in following manufacturing processes: Electrification system, machining, Injection Molding & Assembly.8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream MappingTQM and Kaizen MethodsVisual Factory ManagementMicrosoft Office proficiency (Word/Excel/Outlook)GD&TProficient oral and written communication skills

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.
