Minimum Qualifications
BS Technical Degree.Preferred 2 years working experience in a manufacturing environment in a quality related function.Preferred knowledge of automotive APQP/PPAP processesHave good verbal & written communication skillsHave a command of problem-solving techniques such as 8-D, GM 5-Phase methods, etcPreferred knowledge of ISO 14001 & IATF 16949Understanding of FMEA & Control PlansAble to supervise & lead subordinatesStatistical abilities, & understanding of gage R&R’s, capability studiesConduct self as a Professional EngineerKey Responsibilities
Product & Process, Internal IATF, and LPA auditsProvide data and Reports for Continuous improvement opportunities (Scrap, 8D’s, PPM, Process Capability Analysis, etc.)Seek resolution to quality problems both internal & external using problem solving methodsLead 8D activities with cross functional teams to have timely resolution of problemsAssist QE’s with completion of internal & external PPAP submissionsAssist QE’s in the resolution of non-conforming material & disposition of sameWork with Quality Lab Inspectors on metrology & gage concernsAssist QE’s in defining gaging methods for manufactured/purchased materials and train operators to Gage InstructionsAssist QE’s with Ensure Gages are set up and maintained in the Gage Calibration SystemDevelop & revise audit plans and formsHelp to improve IATF16949 implementation and continual system improvementsPerform gage R&R’s and train others to do the samePerform machine capability studiesParticipate in change management activity for the PlantDevelop & conduct training programs for shop floor operatorsMaintain Quality related information on team boardsRepresent the Muncie Plant in meetings with customer SQE’s, etc.Participate in MaFact, MQS, and IATF External AuditsLead one MQS (Magna Quality System) Element for the Plant and work with Cowan Element Champion to improve our systems & procedures.Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
