Quality Engineer - Validation

**Position Overview**
The Quality Assurance Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through validation processes and testing methodologies. This position focuses on validation, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). This QA Engineer will also support the Quality Engineering Team with CAPAs, Nonconformances, etc.

+ Develop, implement, and maintain validation protocols and documentation for manufacturing equipment and processes in compliance with regulatory standards with a pragmatic approach.
+ Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyst (PFMEA) to identify potential failure modes, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
+ Design and execute Gauge R&R studies to evaluate measurement systems and ensure the accuracy and reliability of data collection.
+ Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts to validate that non-product software and production automation meet user requirements and specifications before release.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Global Automation, Manufacturing, and Global Operations, to ensure quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle.
+ Review and approve validation documentation, including protocols, reports and change controls.
+ Conduct training sessions for team members on validation processes, PFMEA methodologies, Gauge R&R, and UAT best practices.
+ Monitor and analyze validation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
+ Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
+ Support Quality team with requests as required.
**Competencies** (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position.)
+ Strong understanding of standard validation processes and quality assurance.
+ Proficient in validation methodologies, including IQ, OQ, PQ, and risk management tools.
+ Experience with statistical analysis and measurement system analysis, including Gauge R&R.
+ Familiarity with User Acceptance Testing processes and methodologies.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
+ Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
+ Organized and methodical in their work, with an ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
+ Strong business acumen and ability to strategize and prioritize based on business needs
+ Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making
+ Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, and analytical skills
+ Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize actions to support organizational goals

**Desired Qualifications**
**Preferred Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
**Experience:**
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on Validation, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, and UAT
**Job Location:** Bloomington, MN (through Spring 2025); Shakopee, MN (Summer 2025 - forward)
**Job Type:** Exempt
**Working Environment:** This position is a primarily onsite role in an open office setting with adjustable standing/sitting office furnishings offered.
**Physical Demands:** Sitting, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, no more than 20 lbs.

**Pay Transparency Notice:**
Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $80,000 - $90,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
