Location: Batam, Indonesia

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Qualification:

Qualify suppliers, processes, equipment, devices, tools, and commodities according to planning.

Ensure suppliers meet quality, reliability, functionality, performance, and specification standards certified by the Company and applicable government certifications.

Quality Assurance and Improvement:

Ensure clear and accurate communication of technical problems and requirements.

Contribute to process performance improvements and resolution of technical issues with suppliers and production lines through failure analysis and timely corrective actions.

Provide continuous feedback to suppliers about their performance, including areas like competition benchmarking, new technology integration, failure analysis, quality improvements, and reliability.

Equipment and Material Management:

Maintain and take care of Lenovo equipment and materials used in job functions (e.g., notebooks, cell phones, tools, backpacks).

Compliance and Standards:

Comply with the standards and procedures in the Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management Systems, along with other Lenovo standards, procedures, and policies.

Collaboration and Implementation:

Collect information from the Quality Global team and lead sites on new products to ensure the implementation of quality requirements and targets in supplier processes.

KPI Management:

Define KPIs and follow up on results to ensure target achievement.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other tasks related to the position as determined by the company.

Skills and Competencies:

1. Quality Management Skills:

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Knowledge of PLM systems and managing a product’s lifecycle from conception to disposal.

Inspection Techniques: Proficiency in visual inspection, automated testing, and non-destructive testing methods.

Quality Standards and Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding industry-specific quality challenges, standards, and regulations.

Lean Manufacturing: Expertise in Lean principles, waste minimization, and process optimization techniques like Kaizen or Six Sigma.

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC): Skills in detecting and addressing quality issues during manufacturing.

Sampling and Testing: Proficiency in creating sampling plans and conducting quality tests.

Quality Audits: Ability to conduct internal and external audits for compliance.

Statistical Analysis: Proficiency in statistical tools (e.g., SPC, Minitab) for data-driven decision-making.

Governance of Quality Metrics and KPIs: Expertise in defining and monitoring quality-related KPIs.

2. Common Skills:

Technology and Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with management software (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and technologies like IoT and AI.

Negotiation: Ability to reach mutually beneficial agreements with stakeholders.

Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.

Project Management: Managing projects, including new product launches and process improvements.

Financial Acumen: Knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Expertise in tools like RCA, Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys, and FMEA for issue resolution.
