RESPONSIBILITIES•Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications.
•Examines items for defects in materials, work, and damage occurring in transit or due to handling.
•Inspects and measures items for dimensional accuracy, fit, alignment, and functional operation, according to prints, parts manuals, company standards, and other specifications.
•Performs basic First Article Inspections (FAI) and conformity inspections.
•Perform validation on supplier submitted FAIR through measurement verification and documentation review
•Generate and complete FAI report on component parts
•Submit completed FAIR report to reviewer/approver
•Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information.
•Gathers data for preparation of technical and daily output reports. Prepare daily inspection results and reports.
•Gathers data to prepare inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.
•Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Associate degree or other 2-year post high school training.
•2 years of relevant experience is required.
•MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficient.
Strong written and verbal communication and reasoning skills.
