Quality Control Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Distribution Solutions empowers smarter business operations by connecting equipment, software, and services to protect, control, and optimize assets within electrical infrastructures. Across multiple energy-intensive industries, the business provides customers with end-to-end product and service solutions that help ensure the reliability and protection of their electrical infrastructure. The Quality Control Inspector will be required to verify quality work has been completed in functions such as incoming inspection, fabrication, assembly, casting, shipping and/or other areas as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

\tInspect and troubleshoot any defects or discrepancies in conformity\tAssist other QC Personnel, Operators, Assemblers, etc. when quality questions arise\tPerform inspections using measurement tooling (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.) \tTrain other employees as well as participate in additional training.\tInspect, examine, and observe for product or equipment defects.\tCross Training will be expected and required.\tPotential of some weekday and/or weekend OT. \tExperience in the use of various hand tools such as screwdriver crimpers etc. but not limited to \tPerform other related duties as assigned.\t1 year of experience in manufacturing environment, assembly or casting preferred\tExperience using computers Microsoft Office Suite and other web applications.\tAbility and experience in reading interpreting engineering drawings and other related technical drawings and models.\tGood written and oral communication skills. \tAbility and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift heavy objects. \tUnderstand and carry out oral and written instructions.\tWork along of as a member of a team\tInitiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detail\tCandidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States\tDesired experience in SAP and Windchill\tAbility to work with teams and deliver feedback to operators concerning identified issues\t1 year experience in quality
