About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector. You will be responsible for incoming inspection activities for selected materials and coordination of calibration activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Execute inspections of selected 3rd party materials upon warehouse receiving. Operate measurement equipment for the execution of incoming inspection activities. Verify material layout, labels, and relevant characteristics against pre-determined criteria. Perform inspections described in inspection plans and record them in SAP. Record nonconformities in appropriate forms and/or system and prompt production rework, if needed. Execute rework on selected materials if needed Coordinate calibration activities with areas and vendor. Maintain calibration records up to date Follow safety procedures related to activity and equipment used. Support data entry of nonconformities in appropriate forms and/or system. Communicate proposals for inspection plans updates in order to improve area's efficiency. Support inventory coverage. Communicate nonconformities to suppliers and follow up supplier action plans through monthly reports. Other Duties and tasks as assigned
Education:
High School or GED preferred.Knowledge / training:
Instruments and equipment used in inspection of materials under scope (required). Understanding of mechanical schematics and technical drawings (required). Comprehensive knowledge of related company's processes and procedures. Knowledge of SAP (required). Knowledge of measurement equipment and calibration principles. Knowledge of metal surface repair.Experience:
