At the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector (QI) performs inspection tasks relating to in-process inspection, final inspection, and receiving inspection. Will complete inspection of products such as machined parts, 3D-produced parts, processed parts, and purchased hardware, and will perform verifications of part identification and configurations. The QI will identify and segregate non-conforming product using knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods and common inspection measuring equipment, including but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators as necessary. The QI is a versatile team member willing to pitch in and train in other areas of the Quality Department and back up other Quality employees as needed.

Interpret job ordersPerform basic in-process and final inspection of machine parts, 3D parts, processed parts, or purchased standard hardwarePerform verifications of part identification and configurationsArrange inspection ques to identify work priorityIdentify and segregate non-conforming productBasic part transportInterpret certificationsPerform basic maintenance of tools and equipmentMaintain area cleanliness and organization within 6S initiativeOther duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
Shop math. Print reading. NDT certification a plus Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Strong proficiency in close tolerance measuring tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and like tools. Experience in operating a FARO arm / CMM is a plus Versatility / adaptability to train in other areas of the Quality department and back others up. Good time management skills. Reliable / dependable Be able to lift 30 pounds, stand frequently, reach with arms, and use close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc …)
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED requiredAt least ten years of Quality experience required.Aerospace experience preferred
