Wood is recruiting a Quality Inspector to join our Sheet Metal Fabrication team based in Bedford. Wood Sheet Metal is part of your Systems Integration team within out Digital Consulting business supporting across our UK projects. 

This position is a full-time role based at the workshop in Bedford Monday – Friday. 

Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role 

The Quality Inspector will oversee the quality and safety of all welding activities on site. As an experienced inspector they will be responsible for ensuring all inspections are completed before, during and after any welding operations. 

This position will require someone with a keen eye for detail, with proven capabilities to read and understand drawings. The Quality Inspector will present the highest standard of accuracy in all reporting and ensure the team are meeting client specifications. 

An individual who is delivery focused with prior inspection experience, that thrives in a fast-paced environment would excel in this role. Wood Sheet Metals are a growing business with ambitious plans for 2025, they are looking for driven individuals to support in delivering their goals.
