Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description

The candidate will work alongside machinists to inspect parts in the shop. They will use micrometers, gages, and calipers, as well as a FARO portable CMM that uses lasers to measure dimensions. The goal is to train the candidate to get certified in CMM, so we are looking for someone interested in a long-term career in quality inspection. The job involves measuring extremely large parts using verniers, pole micrometers, thread gages, and other tools, with most records kept on paper.

ResponsibilitiesInspect parts alongside machinists in the shop.Use micrometers, gages, calipers, verniers, pole micrometers, and thread gages for measuring.Operate a FARO portable CMM with laser dimensions.Record measurements on documents.Maintain a high level of precision and attention to detail.Read and interpret blueprints.Essential SkillsPrior experience in a quality inspector or machining role.Experience with mechanical precision measuring tools (micrometers, pole micrometers, verniers, thread gages, pie tapes).Ability to read and write in English.Detail-oriented.Blueprint reading skills.CMM programming and inspection knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsCMM 1 or 2 certification.Prior CMM operation or programming experience.GD&T experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The pay rate is $20-30 per hour depending on experience. The schedule is from 6am to 2:30/3pm, with half-day Saturdays encouraged. Most employees work a 50-hour week.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
