**Job Title: Quality Inspector**
**Job Description**
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring all products meet the quality standards and specifications required by customers. The role involves following ISO 9001:2015 procedures for incoming, in-process, and final inspections, as well as calibration of products and gauges to maintain the quality levels requested.
**Responsibilities**
+ Verify the suitability of the production process and product quality and conformity.
+ Inform the quality manager, production manager, and VP of any product that does not meet the required quality level.
+ Guarantee compliance with customers' technical data sheets during the production process.
+ Ensure the quality of finished products meets customer expectations.
+ Monitor production processes to ensure they meet quality standards.
+ Check the quality of products and conformity of the process during production phases. Sign paperwork to document full compliance with customer data sheets and production procedures.
+ Verify the execution of tests carried out by operators according to applicable plans and customer specifications.
+ Inspect finished product packaging randomly and report any anomalies to the production manager and/or quality manager.
+ Manage reworking or sorting processes in collaboration with the quality manager to recover non-compliant material.
+ Verify the level of learning and understanding of technical data sheets, production processes, and quality procedures by machine operators.
+ Perform incoming inspection on raw materials and record mill reports in the database.
+ Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, and summarizing re-work and waste.
+ Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
+ Finalize the execution of quality certificates (3.1) to provide to customers.
+ Report directly to the Quality Manager and collaborate with the production and logistics departments.
+ Collaborate with the entire organization to achieve customer quality objectives and internal quality.
**Essential Skills**
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Knowledge of welding is desired.
+ Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
+ Knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, durometer testers, gauges, and other metrology tools.
+ Strong math skills.
+ Ability to work as a team member.
+ Ability to travel to customer or vendor sites as needed.

**Work Environment**
Half of the facility is currently operational and will be expanding with additional lines by the end of this year. The smaller facility has strategically placed lines to ensure optimum workflow.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
