Job Summary:Provide support for the Quality and Operations teams Duties and Responsibilities:• Inspect finished products and products being processed, for conformance to company standards. Checks samples and verifies accuracy of equipment or process. Reports conditions requiring immediate disposition.• Work independently, and with full competency, to meet the routine quality assurance (QA) testing and other daily operations and obligations of the quality testing lab;• Demonstrate complete competency in the quality testing lab. This area primarily focuses on the testing equipment in the environmentally controlled testing lab and includes, in part, hydraulic die cutting systems, balances, tensile/tear testing equipment, and porosity analyzers and any other equipment that may be deemed necessary for the Job.• Validate visually and dimensionally that the product requirements as defined in the specification documentation and/or floor notes have been followed.• Compile technical data and reports that will provide feedback on final inspection results and recommend corrective actions to the Material Review Board.• Inspect outbound finished goods for defects, damage, and any visual concerns or nonconformities. Inspector must be able to segregate non-conforming materials in such a way as to prevent use / accidental shipment.• Assist in developing standardization for working procedures for high repeatability. • Maintain records and documentation of daily quality activities including record retention of documentation and/or checklists by scanning and saving electronic copies of assessments.• Use and calibrate all provided measurement tools per the defined frequency and expectation and escalate when items need calibration or are damaged.• Report unusual data or operating conditions in a timely manner.• Must adhere to all company policies and safety rules.• Must be able to work extended hours when required.• All other duties as assigned.• Candidates for this role are expected to be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd Shift. This is an Non-Exempt position with an hourly rate of $33.60 Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)• Manufacturing Experience• 1 or more years working in a Quality Assurance position• Good Mathematical and Computer skills• Strong Mechanical Aptitude Additional Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:(If a degree is required it must be from an accredited institution)• Prior experience working in a union environment.
