The QA Inspector I inspect sub-assemblies, finished assemblies, packaging and labeling.  Inspections include receiving, in-process, final inspections and rework.  Completes and interprets Statistical Process Control Charts and histograms, both manually and using computer aided methods.  Informs production personnel of non-conforming material, aids in the investigation of causes and corrective action, and follows up on the effectiveness of action taken.  Prepares various logs, reports and documentation of quality processes.

Responsibilities Inspects parts and assemblies being produced per established procedures and AQLsReviews defective parts, analyzes them and provides feedback to production personnelGenerates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materialsCompletes and enters inspection data into Infinity Software (SPC)Stops production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processesUndertakes special assignments as requiredContributes and participates in continuous improvement activitiesPosition requires an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and team player Qualifications Understands how to use and apply correct inspection tools/equipment for various inspection methodsPrevious experience in quality controlAbility to read engineering drawingsAbility to create inspection reportsAble to write appropriate Work Instructions Computer literate in Microsoft Office toolsExcellent communication skills, high integrity, results driven

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with “Infinity” SPC systemProficiency in ExcelExperience with electronics and mechanical assemblyBilingual - English and Spanish
