Quality Inspector II - Microelectronics
**Job Description** *** This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Thursday, 5:00AM-3:30PM*** In this **Quality Inspection II** role, you will perform In-Process and Final Inspection operations on microwave modules utilizing a microscope for the majority of the workday. Using predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect moderate to complex assemblies and subassemblies to ensure compliance to applicable quality specifications and standards. Work from blueprints, diagrams, regulatory and BAE specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. You will receive intense training to become a certified inspector utilizing MIL-STD-883 criteria to inspect microwave modules. Microwave elements include MMICs, resistors, diodes, caps, substrates and all bonding types (gold wire and ribbon), which are inspected in accordance with MIL-STD-883. This role will be performed full-time onsite because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular job. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Note, this is a first shift position that operates on 4-day workweek (Mon-Thurs) with 10-hour days (5:00 AM to 3:30 PM). Come build your career with BAE Systems. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + High School Degree or GED equivalent. + Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to work under general supervision. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + English literacy is required to ensure the candidate will be capable of following process instructions and safety guidelines. + Ability to work in a team environment. + Capable of utilizing a microscope for the majority of the working shift. + Computer literate and able to navigate with Microsoft Office and production related software. + Familiarity with inspecting electronic devices in accordance with written specifications. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience inspecting microelectronics devices in a production environment. + Experience handling and inspecting die, especially MMICs (Microwave Monolithic Integrated Circuits) and semiconductor diodes is preferred + Experience with reading, understanding, and following process instructions and customer drawings. + Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems like SAP or Solumina. + Knowledge of military and workmanship standards including MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534 and IPC-A-610 for military applications. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $45320 - $72490 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
