Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector – Level 2 is an intermediate level inspector, with the ability to fully perform the role of Quality Inspector – Level 1 along with the ability to read and interprt complex blueprints and engineerig documentation and apply an advanced knowledge of manual tools. The Quality Inspector – Level 2 is capable of a wide range of inspection activities to include the inspection of machined parts, assemblies, raw material, heat treat, and outside processing.

Shift:

Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11pm 

Reporting Relationships:

The Quality Inspector – Level 2 reports directly to the Quality Inspection Supervisor.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect fastener installation, sealant, raw material, simple machine parts, sheet metal parts, bushings, bearings, and standards, simple assemblies, outside processing (NDT, finishes, finish coatings, thermal processing, etc.) Document FAI report Document non-conformances May occasionally perform special projects Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

Ability to be certified with Hardness and Eddy Current, Sealant, Bushing and bearing installation, electrical bonding, and fastener installation.Proficient in basic computer skillsExperienced in reading and correctly interpreting complex blueprints and engineering requirementsExperience in applying shop math skills such as trigonometry, ability to calculate dimensions, set sine plate, etc.Basic understanding of BWMS (Business Quality Management System) processes and proceduresBasic understanding of machine shop and aerospace assembly terminology and nomenclatureCompletion of Bushing and Bearing installation certification/evaluationFully experienced with all basic and advanced manual inspection toolsAbility to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondenceAbility to read and understand technical and engineering material and communicate effectively with coworkersAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometryAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsSelf-motivated with an ability to work alone or in a team environmentAbility to maintain a positive focus and earnest approach in meeting responsibilities and goals

Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
