As an intern at Berry Global in the Consumer Packaging North America Division, you will participate in our Summer 2025 Leadership Series where you will have the opportunity to meet and learn from business leaders from across the organization. Additionally, you will participate in networking events, a volunteer activity serving the greater Evansville community, and work on meaningful projects during your time at Berry.

Project Overview: The objective of this project is to assess and document the capabilities of equipment across various company facilities. This involves evaluating performance, identifying variations, and ensuring consistency in equipment operation. The final deliverable will be a comprehensive report that provides insights into equipment capabilities and recommendations for optimization.

Responsibilities Data Collection:Gather data on equipment performance from multiple facilities, including production logs, maintenance records, and operational reports.Conduct site visits to observe equipment in operation and collect firsthand data.Performance Analysis:Analyze the collected data to assess the performance of each piece of equipment.Identify any variations in performance across different facilities and determine potential causes.Capability Assessment:Evaluate the capabilities of each piece of equipment, including maximum output, efficiency, and reliability.Compare the capabilities across facilities to identify best practices and areas for improvement.Documentation:Create detailed documentation of the equipment capabilities, including performance metrics, operational conditions, and maintenance requirements.Develop a standardized format for reporting equipment capabilities to ensure consistency.Reporting and Recommendations:Prepare a comprehensive report summarizing the findings of the capability assessment.Provide actionable recommendations for optimizing equipment performance and ensuring consistency across facilities.Daily Tasks:Complete testing in the Analytical Lab as directedProvide statical analysis of data as directed Qualifications Seeking degree in Process, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Reliability, or Industrial Engineering; Data Science or Data Analytics; Statistics; Operations Management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Minitab).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
