This opportunity provides hands-on experience in manufacturing quality assurance, process improvement, and training creation and validation. As Quality Intern, you will assist in quality analysis, training and development, process improvement, documentation management and compliance. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Work in conjunction with Manufacturing Management to ensure manufacturing and Quality Assurance procedures are being performed. + Along with Management responsible to direct the work of the Lab Technicians. + Participate in the establishment of quality specifications. + Support activities associated with external audits. + Support customer complaint and reject process to ensure accurate root cause analysis, timely response, and determination and implementation of corrective actions. + Monitor site quality metrics and work with management to develop counter measures as needed. + Work with manufacturing to ensure product conformance through documented process monitoring and process controls methods. + Support the development of improved site metrics where applicable. + Gain insight on customer interaction where applicable and support review and updating of customer specifications, build where they don’t exist. + Help review and standardize documents as it pertains to both Quality Management and Food Safety Management systems. + Deep dive on process capability outlining for potential cost savings projects with process qualification, validation, and time studies where applicable. + All other duties as assigned. **Requirements:** + Junior, Senior or recent graduate in the field of manufacturing, operations management or business management and quality. + Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook. + Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information. + Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines. + Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) + Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options. + Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
