Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to become a part of our Quality team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in quality assurance processes, supplier management, and part inspection methodologies within a dynamic manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for quality, a curious mindset, and a commitment to going the extra mile to uphold and improve product quality.

Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Assessment: Assist in evaluating and monitoring supplier performance through data analysis and quality metrics. Participate in supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.Part Inspection: Conduct inspections of supplier parts and materials to verify conformance to specifications. Utilize measurement tools and techniques to assess quality and document findings accurately.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of inspections performed, including details on conforming and non-conforming parts. Prepare reports that summarize inspection findings and supplier performance metrics for evaluation.Collaboration: Work closely with Quality leadership and cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to address quality issues and implement improvements.Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for enhancing inspection processes and supplier quality management.

Do you qualify?

Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Possess good understanding and ability to use the metrology tools like calipers, gauges, micrometers etc.Familiarity with quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards) is a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.The hourly pay range for this position is $22.00 – $25.00The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
