ZF North America Inc. has job openings (multiple) for the position of Quality Key Account Manager (QKAM) based out of its location in Northville, MI.
Job Duties: Spearhead strategic setup, definition, alignment and control of quality standards, processes, and KPIs for OEM Quality Management; Collaborate and Interface with internal teams across Division E (ZF Group Quality KAM organization, Sales KAE, Corporate, Divisional and Local Quality Organization, Development and Project Management, Logistics, etc), and the customer; Organize and conduct regular customer meeting cadence up to director level to understand the customers’ expectations and requests; Problem-solve multi-plant issues, monitor introduction of countermeasures, and review field quality issues to identity measure to address OEM escalations and maintain customer relationships; Provide monthly analysis and reporting of customer portal KPI’s and escalations (Green Site), to ensure transparency within the ZF management and derive actions with the respective departments; Plan, define, monitor, and report work packages to ensure timeline and targets are met, to fulfil customers expectation and targets; Validate Quality specific customer documents through a ZF database (CuDo), and align requirements with other departments within the Quality domain, to maintain IATF certification and minimize risk by fulfilling customer requirements in the ZF production plants; Act as center of competence for customer specific requirements; Shape and support local customer quality departments by setting common customer facing standards; Determine process safeguarding considering D- and PFMEA, and derive recommendations and decisions to both internal and external customers; Resolve bottlenecks and coordinate hard- and software related escalation issues using problem solving methodology in consideration of technical and economic feasibility; Ensure lessons learned from problem solving process, especially on PPAC issues; Work on other duties and special projects as it relates to the position and assigned by Q-KAM Manager. 15% travel including both domestic and international travel to customer and company sites. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field, plus 5 years of experience as a quality engineer, and demonstrated experience with: AIAG CQl-14 consumer-centric warranty management or VDA field failure analysis; IATF 16949; Ishikawa methodology; 5xWhy methodology; 6 Sigma or Shainin/Red X; Automotive Core Tools, including APQP, FMEA, MSA and SPC; and US OEMs' respective quality processes for Ford, Stellantis or GM, to manage warranty quality, delivery, and launch topics.
