Your role at Baxter

Responsible for the outgoing quality, safety, and efficacy of product produced at Mountain Home (relative to Chemistry Laboratory analyses) involving complex routine and non-routine testing and validation in the Chem Lab.

What you'll be doingPerform routine chemical raw material through final analyses. Testing is process driven involving SOP, JIB, CQP and Spec procedure/guidance.Is responsible for interpreting and analyzing results. If any results are out of limit/specifications they initiate and complete an investigation.All lab personnel are required to participate in continuous improvement activities and problem solving events using independent judgment for solutions.Assure compliance of manufacturing and quality control operations per all required procedures, standards and regulations. Have to know when to apply standard.Update procedures, conduct routine audits, review of completed chemical testing.Participates in cross-functional teams representing the Chem Lab, which involves independent judgment and decision making.Initiates an investigation, collects all data, makes hypotheses, tests hypotheses, identifies root cause, determines trends, then makes recommendations for corrective action/preventative action.Identifying, defining and investigating problems relating to product, process and quality systems including out-of-limits situations.Uses independent judgment to determine the best testing method based on product use and needs to verify the effective implementation of solutions.Controlling further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.Document results electronically or use other forms of records.

What you'll bringBachelor of Science in Chemistry and 0-2 years’ experience preferred.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use other appropriate software.Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekendsUse of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment is requiredPosition requires standing and walking for extended periods of timeMust be able to perform gowning requirements.Must be able to wear applicable Personal Protective Equipment.Position requires handling of laboratory chemicals.Occasional travel as required.Must be able to see full spectrum of color.Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.This is a safety-sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000 - $82,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
