We are looking for your talent, join our team and start your journey today! **Job Title: Quality Lab Engineer** Join Copeland as a Quality Lab Engineer and be part of a hard-working team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality. This role offers a versatile opportunity to contribute to world-class engineering projects in Arteaga, with a focus on precision and innovation. **Responsibilities:** + Support the development of operation and maintenance manuals for measurement instruments in accordance with technical procedures. + Record and assist in the processing of instrument and process data in line with statistical requirements and methodology. + Operate and manage measurement, testing, calibration equipment, and associated software applications, validating and verifying calibration activities and system adjustments as per technical procedures and standards. + Conduct dimensional inspection of components using manual methods. + Identify root causes of anomalies and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on measurement equipment and instruments in adherence to technical procedures. + Develop methods for internal calibration of inspection, measurement, and testing equipment. + Apply technical knowledge to identify and resolve issues that arise during work. + Prepare calibration certificates in accordance with technical records and quality standards. + Generate technical reports or dimensional reports promptly and accurately. + Review results of internal and external calibrations of equipment to ensure compliance with minimum quality system requirements and specific client needs. + Hire and supervise external providers for equipment calibration when internal laboratory capacity is unavailable. + Act as a technical support resource for clients during quality issues. + Send monthly status reports on calibrations. + Supervise personnel under your charge (if applicable). + Train, develop, evaluate, and motivate staff under your supervision. + Actively participate in problem-solving projects. **Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. + 3 years of experience in a similar role and/or 3 years as a programmer operator. + Techniques in measurement and calibration, local and international metrology legislation. Intermediate English proficiency. + Knowledge of ASME 14.5 (GD&T), ISO/IEC 17025, IATF 16949, Dimensional Studies (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Blueprint Interpretation, International Metrology Vocabulary (VIM), Advanced Programming, and operation of coordinate measurement equipment. + Proficiency in programming using PC-DMIS software, CAD++.
