Tests include viscosity, weight per unit of measure, flow, gloss, color characteristics, and various other similar tests. + Test materials from suppliers and batches from production. + Perform standard testing procedures, including prep of materials, with attention to detail and high quality. + Follow daily work plan for Lab Work Request or project plan. + Accurately document work in lab notebooks (either physical or electronic). + Recognize roadblocks or anomalies; resolve them or communicate concerns with a chemist in a timely manner. + Ensure raw materials are available and correctly labeled. + Correctly label and mail samples. + Maintain clean and organized work environment. + Tint batches without assistance. + Calculate resin composites. + Maintain QC records using a web-based computer system. + Prepare records for submission. + Test on lab equipment including viscosity, pH, weight per gallon, % solids. + Draw downs. + Use of ovens. + Maintain and perform calibrations on machines. Qualifications + Not color blind + Prior quality/wet lab experience or entry level graduate with AS or BS in Science + Prior experience with color matching + Experience working with paint, pigments, coatings + Industrial lab experience doing basic wet chemistry including viscosity, pH, % solids Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.25 - $25.25 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
