Quality Lab Technician II (39497)

Clariant is currently looking for a Quality Lab Technician II to support the Adsorbents and Additives business unit in Colton, CA. The Quality Lab Tech. will play a pivotal role in ensuring that products meet stringent customer specifications and quality requirements. This position allows for a high degree of autonomy in decision-making, requiring an individual capable of working independently and managing complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm. Clariant offers a competitive base salary range of $67,000-$80,000, an annual 5% bonus, PTO and more. Salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to individual competencies, education and/or professional certifications, experience and job performance. Responsibilities

•    Apply and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHAS 18001 standards
•    Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to address and resolve non-conformance issues
•    Manage and maintain the calibration program, including scheduling and documentation
•    Conduct audits, including internal and customer audits, to ensure compliance with system management protocols
•    Monitor and oversee all quality control processes, including incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections, to prevent production interruptions
•    Actively participate in Management of Change (MoC) activities impacting quality control
 


 

Requirements

•    Associate’s Degree in a STEM field, preferred
•    3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
•    Laboratory manufacturing experience is highly desirable
•    Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma, Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP, preferred
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Exceptional time management and organizational abilities to prioritize tasks effectively
•    Attention to detail to meet precise specifications and maintain documentation accuracy
•    Ability to quickly learn and implement the company’s quality control systems
•    Capability to adapt and make informed decisions in a complex, resource-constrained environment
