Welcome to Westinghouse and the EMEA Fuel Engineering team! We are about 120 employees in areas such as mechanical and nuclear design, thermal hydraulics and testing, fuel performance analysis and project management working together to develop and license fuel and core components for BWR, VVER and PWR reactors globally.
Your contribution for a carbon-free future
We are looking for a Quality Lead to support EMEA Fuel Engineering and the whole global Nuclear Fuel Engineering (NFE) organization. You will be a key player in the systematic and strategic quality work at the department.
Among other things, you will have responsibilities in the following areas:
Screening of issues in our corrective actions program and support to issue owners in the resolution. Lead the Nuclear Fuel Engineering Issue Review Committee meetings and take the role as CARB secretary when needed.
Lead causal analysis occasionally and support issue owners to analyze cause of issues.
Develop and maintain Quality metrics, monitor trends and work with the organization to improve performance through multiple quality initiatives.
Support EFE to develop and maintain the Management system (WIMS) and lead the management review.
Facilitate the management team in the systematic transformation work and coordinate activities between the groups.
Work with responsible managers to coordinate EFE activities during audits.
As part of the role, you may also take on different tasks depending on your previous experience and interest.
You will perform this role onsite in Västerås, Sweden.

You have a good overall understanding of the work that is being conducted at EMEA Fuel Engineering, the quality assurance requirements and tools, and potential nuclear safety and operational impacts.
Qualifications
University degree in engineering, quality or other relevant area, or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of generic nuclear fuel design, regulatory standards in nuclear industry and licensing requirements, safety criteria of nuclear fuel design and safe operation of reactors.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbally. Note that Swedish is a strict requirement for this role.
