KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Jacket Quality Lead is responsible for implementing the project Quality Management System in conformance with CLIENT ’s quality management processes and managing Quality Assurance and Control activities relating to the fabrication and construction of Jacket project lifecycle.

Work with Project Quality Manager and Delivery Lead to embed and drive the implementation of the Production & Operation (P&O) quality strategy including the Right First Time (R1T) implementation.

Drive, support and facilitate implementation of Right 1st Time program

The Quality Lead is responsible for maintaining applicable project quality documents required to execute the quality activities for jacket fabrication & construction and subsea fabrication scopes.

The Quality Lead is responsible for managing the Quality Inspection resources within the project.

Execute the project Quality Plan within the jacket fabrication & construction and subsea fabrication activities of the project.

Implement Client ’s Engineering and Quality Management Guidelines.

Work with project teams to establish and implement the Self-Verification and Oversight plan.

Manage the implementation a risk-based Quality assessment plan for verifying Client  and contractor conformance across a project.

Manage project and contractor’s competency assurance and performance management

Provides guidance, advice, and training to project team, contractors, suppliers, inspectors and third parties as required to confirm understating of the project Quality Objectives.

Review the Construction Contractor’s Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and other relevant quality documentation.

Identify risk in the contractors and sub-contractors which may lead to audits being required to be carried out by the project.

Confirm that statutory inspection requirements are complied with during construction of the facilities.

Verify Client ’s inspection, surveillance and witnessing of constructed components is executed in accordance with approved ITPs.

Contribute to the project quality improvement process by the capture and assessment of non-conformances and concessions, and the implementation of the immediate containment actions arising and support failure investigations and root cause analysis.

Coordinate project activities for final inspection, punch lists and release of constructed equipment to commissioning
  Confirm that all relevant quality documentation, testing and inspection results are properly documented, complete and handed over in accordance with the information handover specification. Capture quality-related lessons for future projects via the project shared learning process Provide trend data from the contractor deviation and concession process to allow interventions to be made for high risk and recurring issues. Functional reporting line to the Client  SDC Quality Manager. Site reporting line is to the Client  SDC Jacket Delivery Manager (CAM)

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Degree qualified in technical, Engineering or related discipline ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Working knowledge of Internation Standards Welding Inspection Awareness (e.g. PCN Level 1), NDE Awareness, Coating Inspection Awareness API Q1 / Q2 Auditor preferred ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION /QUALIFICATIONS. Member of Chartered Quality Institute (the CQI) Minimum 15 years of experience and trainings in Quality Assurance, control, and auditing in oil & gas or similar industry Minimum 10 years in leading /conducting external/internal quality audits to ISO 9001 requirements. Applicable technical qualifications relevant to fabrication and construction of offshore jackets. Holding previous roles a Quality Lead/Quality Manager or / Sr. Quality Engineer in major EPC contractor or Operator Fabrication and construction of offshore or subsea infrastructure Significant experience relevant to construction of offshore facilities, pipeline fabrication and pipelay installation processes Strong people management, quality leadership, communication, and influencing skills
