Description:QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Location:  Rochester, NY
Term:  12-month Contract – extendable
Pay Rate:  $35 per hour minimum (based on experience)

Job Description:
The main purpose of this position is to develop an efficient Quality Management System (QMS) for the client.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Review process mapping, identifying each process with targets and KPIs.
•    Oversee the competence matrix, with documentation for each process, and define the process to review the QMS frequently.
•    Propose tools to manage and control the documentation and conformity to AS9100.
•    Develop and control processes, procedures and forms to support the quality management and business operating system. This includes, but is not limited to writing, reviewing, and updating quality policies, procedures, inspection instructions, and work instructions.
•    Interface with Customers/Supplier as a point of contact for: audits, corrective actions, and problem resolution; supports customer/supplier onsite visits and audits.
•    Oversee internal Corrective Action Database to ensure proper Root Cause Corrective Action occurs on identified issues and measure critical processes in the plant. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed, and that any nonconformance is detected and proper corrections and/or corrective/preventative actions are implemented to prevent recurrence of identified nonconformities.
•    Maintain, archive, and retrieve all controlled documents and records required by applicable regulatory requirements.
•    Review and conduct root cause investigations as required.
•    Perform internal quality assessment audits at both a system and process level.
•    Utilize sophisticated tools, instruments, and techniques to accomplish assignments.
•    Continually assess quality control standards.
•    Assist in ensuring that products comply with necessary certifications and standards.

Skills and Experience:
•    Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and AS9100 with a minimum of 5 years of experience
•    BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience in related fields
•    Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint / MRP systems
•    Strong troubleshooting skills and communication skills
•    Advanced Spreadsheet building and Microsoft Office Skills
•    Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other related literature
•    Management experience and/or Quality certification a plus
•    English is mandatory

NOTE:  There will be an option to work remotely, but the job would require 10-12 weeks on site at the beginning of the contract.
