Quality Manager, Motor Graders

Caterpillar's Earthmoving division is hiring a **Global Quality Manager** position for their Motor Grader product group. This role leads a team that analyzes Motor Grader customer requirements, defines specifications for Motor Grader products and services, develops quality control processes, reviews and ensures compliance with quality standards, and executes projects to resolve defects. **What You’ll Do** + Recruiting, developing, and leading staff to accomplish personal and organizational goals, adhere to policies/procedures and promote a culture of continuous improvement. + Developing, implementing, monitoring, and optimizing quality assurance processes to ensure final products and services are compliant with quality standards and regulatory requirements. + Communicating adherence to customer requirements, product or service specifications, and ensures that their expectations are met to achieve high customer satisfaction rates. + Managing process to achieve compliance for internal quality audits and coordinate external on-site audits; analyzing all product development and manufacturing procedures to identify deviations from quality standards and recommend and implement corrective actions. + Manage the CPI list for motor graders by prioritizing for customer impact and lead a team of CPI engineers to resolve design, manufacturing and supply defects. **What You Have (Skills & Experience)** + Engineering degree or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing or supplier management + Extensive **Planning** Experience (Tactical & Strategic): knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. + Expert in **Quality Management** : Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. + Extensive **Decision Making and Critical Thinking** Skills: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + Extensive **Influencing** Skills: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. + Extensive **Problem-Solving** Skills: Recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort, organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts. + Extensive **Quality** **Risk Management** Experience: Ability to implement the quality assurance process of assessment, control, communication, and review of risks to the quality of products; Coaches others on how to effectively mitigate risks associated with quality. + Extensive **Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies** Experience: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance. + Expert in **Root Cause Analysis** (RCA): Ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences. Leads the implementation of structured approaches to investigate a vast range of problem types, determine causes, and find resolutions. **Additional Details:** + Location: **Peoria, IL** + Domestic relocation assistance is available to Peoria, IL + Caterpillar operates in a hybrid work model, **requiring 3 days per week of onsite, in-office work** to collaborate with team members + Travel: up to 30% **Summary Pay Range:** $144,960.00 - $217,320.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
