We are seeking a Quality Manager for our First Quality Tissue facility located in Anderson, SC. This position will focus on the reduction of costs through prevention-based systems and measurements, as well as facilitate continuous improvement in the business systems. This position will be responsible for providing First Quality a competitive advantage in the marketplace and create value for our customers, along with providing customer confidence in First Quality’s ability to meet and exceed their expectations.
Primary responsibilities include:
Provide the necessary leadership and strategic planning to develop, implement and maintain a quality assurance and quality control program to support the business mission and ongoing continuous improvement effort to achieve incident free.Collaborate with the various functions to ensure the quality assurance and quality control program is comprehensive, incorporates best practices, and is consistent with the strategic plan.Formulates and oversees maintenance of quality control objectives and coordination with production procedures to maximize product quality/reliability and minimize costs.Instill and maintain a quality culture to achieve an incident free environment.Develop or modify quality procedures, metrics and processes and monitor performance against short and long-range plans to achieve quality goals.Provide input and direction to resolve quality control problems (non-conformances) through proper inspections, root cause analysis and corrective actions plans.Plan for and provide training and personnel development opportunities for team members in an effort to build a culture of quality throughout the company.Ensure continuous improvement including the best practice refinement and implement "lessons learned".Provide timely resolutions to customer inquiries, feedback investigations, and corrective actions.Provide support and leadership to benchmark existing products, commercialize new products, lead machine and customer-related quality improvement trials.Serves as key member of product teams, with focus on quality planning for new products/processes.Monitors quality performance across the division, reports progress, and keeps division leadership informed of progress, issues, corrective action, and customer complaints. Provide direction to ensure compliance with all applicable customer requirements and government regulations involving product quality.Identify talent needs and develop the quality engineering function.The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.TPM/Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Black belt preferred.At least 10 years’ experience of Quality Assurance Management/Supervisory skills5 Years’ experience at Director level. Highly developed human relations, communications, and internal consulting skills necessary to establish and maintain effective work relationships.Leadership skills and the ability to motivate people to create value and eliminate waste.CPG manufacturing preferred.Knowledge of statistical analysis and process capability.Ability to travel.First Quality is committed to protecting information under the care of First Quality Enterprises commensurate with leading industry standards and applicable regulations.
