Quality Manager
Job Title: Quality ManagerJob Description

Responsible for the overall quality assurance of procured and manufactured products, as well as after-sales warranty support. This role involves interfacing with customers regarding current and long-term quality and service concerns. The position provides quality-related support, advice, and assistance to management, operational staff, suppliers, and customers. It also involves designing and implementing methods for process control and process improvement through Lean/Kaizen activities, testing, and inspection.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for the development and manufacturing of products.Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department leads for problem identification, root cause identification, and effective corrective/preventive action completion.Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.Develop, execute, and analyze quality-reporting measures (Department/Cell and Plant-Wide).Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.Develop, execute, and analyze supplier quality measures and metrics.Participate in internal and external quality audits.Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and ensure effective corrective/preventive actions are implemented.Compile, document, and deliver training material and SOPs on quality standards, processes, and activities.Manage the measuring equipment calibration system.Conduct root cause problem-solving of key quality issues using tools such as Fishbone, 5 Whys, etc.Provide feedback at the R&D and manufacturing level in relation to customer feedback and potential quality-related issues.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management.Previous quality management experience in a medium to large organization.Ability to read manufacturing drawings and use measurement equipment.Demonstrated use of Root Cause Problem Solving tools and techniques.Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation.Ability to work under pressure and to tight time schedules.Efficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Considerable attention to detail.Ability to apply high ethical standards and represent the organization professionally.Ability to act ethically and confidentially.Strong internal and external customer service ethos.Experience in managing and developing staff.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertificate in quality management or higher management-related qualification.Knowledge of assembly, welding, and fabrication industries.Experience in the Heavy Equipment, Transportation, or Automotive industry.Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, noise intensity levels, proximity to moving mechanical parts, and exposure to weather. Plant operation hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, totaling a 48-hour work week. The role requires the ability to communicate clearly and involves physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, crawling, and kneeling. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00

10% bonus and will provide relocation assistance. Will also be provided full benefits package. Health, Dental, and Vision options available.
