Key Accountabilities
Develop and implement quality and continuous improvement strategies which support the overall business strategy and directly impacts metrics of quality and customer service.Ensure management and maintenance of the quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in process materials and components, processes and finished goods.Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff for the Plant Quality Operating system. Provide direction and support for implementation, audit and maintenance.Assure automotive system (IATF-16949) requirements are met.Provide direction and support for Quality Supervisory and Quality Engineering activities.Provide periodic summary reports of overall quality systems performance to plant and corporate management.Monitor production metrics and performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports to support decision process of continual improvement activities.Ensure internal non-compliances are documented in the appropriate system and addressed in timely manner.Work collaboratively with the extended team to provide analysis and data used to resolve supplier issue and support containment.Establish and monitor effectiveness of systems and strategies which assure customer complaints are effectively addressed and answered in expected time frames.Ensure metrics for customer satisfaction regarding Quality and Delivery are established and performance reported to management.Drive new methods and technology implementation to assure continuous improvement and improved customer satisfaction.Ensure effective communications with customer personnel at divisional and manufacturing locations.Meet with customers routinely to ensure customer requirements, level of support and expectations are being met. Utilize Talent Management System (TMS) to define/update performance and development objectives in a timely fashion and provide feedback to employees on an ongoing basis.Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or above in mechanical engineering or related10 plus years of working experience with 8 plus years quality engineering experience5 plus years of management experienceDemonstrated knowledge of advanced quality planning, inspection equipment and techniques, root cause failure analysis, statistical distributions, assembly processes, machining processes, problem solving, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and CADKnowledge of VDA6.3 / IATF16949 automotive quality standards requiredQuality Manager Certification is a plusGood spoken and written in EnglishExcellent verbal and written communication skills, Chinese and EnglishAbility to development employees and provide mentoringInternal Use Only: SalaryGlobal Terms of Use and Privacy Statement
