Manifacturing Unit Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to deploy and lead the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams, with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will drive the local quality system through the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by coordinating the efforts of all necessary local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance and ensuring that the necessary certification requirements are met throughout the organization.You will be in charge of developing & maintaining the Quality Management System of the local unit. All aspects managed in line with Division guidance.The work model for the role is onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in our Rakovski factory.You will be mainly accountable for:•Influencing and consulting with management within the local ABB unit to innovatively shape the design and development of your functional area to improve the organization’s overall performance.•Ensuring appropriate internal and external communication relevant to quality management system.•Implementing short, medium- and long-term strategy, activities, and planning to develop the quality management system, based on identified risks and opportunities, in collaboration and agreement with the local management team.•Establishing a closed-loop quality cycle from product development to customer experience feedback to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met.You will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the roleTechnical bachelor’s degree or higherStrong experience in manufacturing environmentAbility to work effectively with limited supervisionStrong communication skills are necessary to work effectively with the management group, employees, and vendors and with end customersDemonstrated skills in working effectively with people with diverse backgrounds; both inside the plant environment and with external contactsOperates in a fast-paced environment where critical decisions must be made quickly, and teamwork is essentialKnowledge of Lean concepts and process improvement / functionality is essentialStrong ERP systems and computer skills. Experience with SAP would be a strong plus.
