Expected Results

Responsible for leading the plants quality assurance efforts. Manage day to day quality assurance responsibilities to ensure continuous production of product and applications consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. Supervise a team of quality assurance technicians and engineers. Maintain all QMS procedures and work instructions relative to quality assurance. Manage the QMS in a manner that reflects commitment to continuous improvement of quality and production systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage Quality Assurance Department and its resources to operate most effectively. Oversee and coordinate with all internal departments the implementation, execution, and auditing of the Quality Management System as established in company policies and procedures. Improve Quality Systems used in the manufacturing plant.

• Assist Manufacturing and Engineering in researching and designing improvements to manufacturing processes and machines. This includes but is not limited to assisting with communicating part drawing and specification changes to Engineering and sourcing of parts and materials as needed. Ensure established engineering change procedures are followed on all changes.

• Provide Excellent Customer Service when EBB rejects or customer complaints arise.

• Direct Customer contact. Involved in customer audits of the facilities. Review customer specifications. Coordinate with customer on quality issues. Route and coordinate customer complaints. Issue customer complaint report, quarterly and annually. Give presentations of Quality Systems to customers. Interact with Sales and keep informed of customer requirements.

• Improve reliability of new product development processes to ensure quality product delivery to customer.

• Guarantees customer quality expectations, monitors KPI such as EBB, Customer satisfaction ratings.

• Guarantees internal quality controls are implemented and monitored for all operations with a continuous improvement mindset.

• Guarantees supplier compliance to quality standards. Involved in supplier audit, assist Receiving Inspection in resolving quality issues as required.

• Guarantees all operations employees are effectively trained according to quality system standards.

• Guarantees effective launches of new products.

• Support production teams in process improvement if needed.

• Prepare the budget and monitor QA Performance to budget. Review Molding and Assembly finished item specifications.

• Provide support for the collection and organization of quality data and issuance of reports as required. Participate on various project teams. Oversee the review and generation of documentation as required in the areas of inspection, calibrations, test methods, and product specification.

• Coordinate ISO registration audits and act as Management Representative.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, or other technical discipline.

• Min 5 years’ experience in quality management and quality management systems/ use of quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, ROOT cause analysis, 5S, other lean six sigma methodologies.

• Statistical analysis background is a must.

• Demonstrated ability to drive team problem solving based on data and use of statistical analysis.

• Strong knowledge of calibration and metrology

• Experience implementing quality systems in a high volume, complex product, manufacturing environment.

• Experience deploying and maintaining certification in ISO.

• Experience in plastic molding, assembly of complex products a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities

• Demonstrated ability to lead people.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with Microsoft Office and database systems.

• Good statistical background and organizational skills.

• Ability to function effectively as a team player.

• Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager certification is a plus.

Pay Range: $113,629 - $129,773
