Quality Oversight Specialist - High Speed Rail

Role description:

Arcadis seeks a Quality Oversight Specialist to join the team in Selma, CA. Join our team of dedicated professionals on the High-Speed Rail and contribute to the improvement of California's transportation infrastructure. As a Quality Data Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of the High-Speed Rail project that positively impact the lives of millions of Californians. 

Must be able to work onsite in Selma, CA.

In the role of Quality Oversight Specialist, you will provide essential support services within the Quality Oversight Management team for the California High-Speed Rail project. As a valued member of our fully integrated project team, you will play a pivotal role in upholding project quality assurance and ensuring compliance with approved contract documents and project specifications. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining high standards and delivering a successful project outcome.

Role Accountabilities:

Review, track, process and distribute project reports as needed. Review contractor submittals, deliverables and other documents for completeness and accuracy. Receive, record, and compile submittal comments.  Maintain a list of submittals and/or other required documents. Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings. Develop and maintain spreadsheet trackers. Assist in hosting internal team training sessions, based on identified areas of opportunity from the Audit Manager.  Analyze data, specifications, and drawings/blueprints if needed. Write suitable and professional responses for both internal and external communications. Review new rules, regulations, and codes for project applicability. Prepare technical reports, data analysis, and relevant correspondence. Assist in coordinating services with outside agencies as needed. Maintain projects files and records. Interpret contract specifications, drawings, codes, and safety orders. Additional duties as assigned by your supervisor. 

Required Qualifications:

5 years of experience working on large construction projects. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or other related field or equivalent work experience.

Key Skills and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of construction standards, regulations, and procedures is preferred to ensure compliance with industry guidelines and requirements throughout the construction process Software Proficiency: Familiarity with commonly used office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools is necessary for effective documentation, reporting, and presentation of project-related information Collaborate with the QMDP team to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on progress, risk, and status. Current Tasks and responsibilities can be changed and/or redistributed at the discretion of the Quality Oversight Manager.  Ability to work with confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to operate common office equipment, like scanners, printers, basic computer operation.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
