Education / Educación:  Technical certification approved (at least 350 hours). 

 

Specialized Knowledge (Desirable) / Conocimiento especializado (preferible):  Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks.  Strong knowledge of data collection and proficiency in statistical analysis and tools (Minitab preferred) 3D design and 3D printing are desirable.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities / Resumen de funciones y responsabilidades:

Provide support for the design/process validation and verification for projects involving significant changes in the design and manufacturing processes of existing products. Support and perform the following engineering/testing activities: Support in the development and execution of engineering tests. Support in the root cause analysis investigations to determine the origin of problems, defects and potential solutions. Support in the development of test method validations to ensure accuracy and reliability. Measure and prepare samples for analysis and testing according to established procedures. Document through laboratory notebooks detailed observations from laboratory studies. Execute, coordinate, and provide results of engineering tests to be performed on prototype parts.  Execute, under supervision, root cause investigations of problems/defects that appear on the production floor, field or in the laboratory as part of testing. Coordinate the creation and modification of fixtures with the corresponding EQPs in Agile to improve testing accuracy or production methods. Place requisitions for purchase orders related to the different necessities but not limited to equipment, services, laboratory supplies, laboratory equipment. Perform change orders, or any other documentation activities required to support projects or investigations. Create and modify preventive maintenance procedures according to the needs of each project.  Manage 3D printing activities, update/creation for components, fixtures and equipment drawings. Support and manage the R&D laboratory administration with activities like but not limited to: Work with the Lab user to keep the laboratory clean, organized and stocked with necessary materials and tools. Coordinate the handling of hazardous or biological material properly
