Canon EMEA is looking for a Quality Release Manager to strengthen our Quality Control & Release Management department. In this role you will be responsible for quality control and release management within assigned domains in our ERP Centre of Excellence. As a Quality Release manager, you will:Be responsible for Release planning & tracking, Cutover management and environment management.Manage quality control /release risks, changes, dependencies, stakeholders and reporting on a project or release in a timely manner.Support the Factory Director with vendor management including SOWs reviews and processing.Control and lead external service providers in all required release management and quality control activities.Ensure process compliance SOX process for release management and quality control in ERP CoE domains.Define and implement improvements, optimisations, tools and new approaches towards Quality Control and Release Management (Standardization of release and test process within the allocated domains).Develop and maintain Quality Control/Release Strategy and approach for the assigned domains that is in line with the overall ERP Centre of Excellence Test Strategy.Organise capacity/assets/resources during the different testing phases for a project, ensuring that testing is executed (and communicated) in the most effective and efficient way.Lead the Quality Control function in the domain delivery, in full compliance with Canon’s QMS (Quality Management System) in terms of test acceptance and code management process throughout SDLC focussing on shift left principle to find errors upfront.Serve as best practice/quality resource within function, guide others in resolving complex issues, train/mentor junior team members (Implementation of Automation in Release & Test Process).Work with the Canon Technical team to act as the quality guardian for the vendor’s delivery with zero incident mindset.
As a Quality Release Manager, you will need:Experience as quality control/ test manager responsible for end-to-end test strategy (managing test teams) in complex application development and system integration projects (Quality Control Framework Implementation for the allocated domains for all the SDLC Phases).Hands-on experience in managing multiple concurrent end-to-end testing projects and reporting to management (Standardization of QA Report).Experience in quality assurance including acceptance test, testing reviews and design reviews to enable shift left focusExperience with Testing tools including XRAY, UFT, LoadRunner, Jira (Implementation of test Automation frame work in the assigned domains).Desirable functional domain expertiseIs recognized as an expert in own area within the organization.Good Experience in release management in an ERP landscape.Strong background in an integrated enterprise application environment with middleware applicationsExperience with managing external service providersStrong leadership skills.Strong communication skills English, both written and spoken.
