Quality Specialist

Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

This position reports to the Quality Manager. The Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting the plant's Quality Management System and other management systems and provides direct contact with customers, UL and other regulatory agency representatives as required.  

The Ideal Candidate will be responsible for the following processes and tasks:

Ensure the preparation of quality plans, control/testing and reporting of compliance with procedures, standards, and regulationsMonitoring and reporting on all activities, processes, and proceduresPerforming regular inspections and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policiesAssisting with the development of company policies, processes, and proceduresProviding departments with quality planning and supportPreparing and maintaining quality and other management system documentationFollowing customer complaints and internal quality nonconformities (non-conforming product management) and taking corrective and preventive actions with the Quality departmentReview all raw material Certificate of Analysis to ensure accuracy and complianceCreate and maintain Certified Test Plans per customer requirementsCoordinate scheduling third party inspections, audits, and equipment calibrationsDevelops and maintains effective working relationships with other departments and with suppliers and customersCreation of purchase requisitions for both Quality and HSE

Key Requirements:

Degree not required, is a plusGood leadership, co-operation and interactions skillsStrong organizational skillsExcellent decision-making and problem-solving skillsProven experience in quality assurance systemsWillingness to take an extra mile when neededAdvanced Excel and MS Office and Access Database KnowledgeGood written and oral communication skillsSAP knowledge is a plusExpertise in ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018 is a plusPA Notary License preferred, can be provided
