As a Quality Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring the quality of Distech products. You contribute to excellence by meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations through robust and appropriate processes and controls. Your mission is to participate in the product development process at Distech and to plan, validate, and execute quality-related tasks. You will prepare the necessary documentation to demonstrate compliance with requirements, from the development cycle to delivery. As a change agent, you will influence various stakeholders in the organization to always satisfy our customers and maintain Distech’s excellent reputation.
Mission & ResponsibilitiesMission:
Actively participate and influence the implementation of risk analysis and management tools in product development. Integrate and formalize quality planning concepts in development into existing processes. Participate as a quality specialist in the product development process. Collaborate with various functions within the Quality group, such as supplier quality assurance and operational quality assurance across all Distech sites, to establish the highest quality standards. Participate in the establishment and improvement of various quality processes in development.Main tasks and responsibilities:
Serve as a reference for quality planning tools in projects. Work closely with various teams involved in product development. Ensure feedback (supplier history, production, reliability, customer issues, etc.) on product quality issues is integrated into product development. Ensure that a defined strategy for risk analysis and management (particularly in the form of FMEA) is used and documented in product development. Follow up on validation/verification actions identified in product FMEAs. Maintain an up-to-date library of risk analyses and failure modes. Ensure clear communication of product requirements among product design groups, production engineering, and operations. Create and submit a pre-production control plan to the Operations team to align engineering expectations with production instructions. Skills and Minimum Experience Required Expertise in failure analysis and known problem-solving methods. Ability to document and present issues in an organized and structured manner. Capacity to interact with a wide variety of internal and external collaborators. Bilingualism required (French and English) in both spoken and written forms. Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent experience. Certification in quality assurance and management is an asset. Internal or external auditor certification is an asset. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an asset. 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role. Valid driver's license.
