The Quality Specialist supports the Quality and Compliance team by focusing on the integration of compliance, data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance programs, analyzing data to drive improvements, and assisting in compliance-related activities across the organization. The Quality Specialist will work under the direction of the Directors of Quality and Compliance, while reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Quality and Compliance.

Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Compliance

Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.Support the Directors of Quality and Compliance in conducting internal audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement.Coordinate and support the preparation for external audits and accreditations by organizing necessary documentation and staff training.

Data Analysis and Reporting

Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to quality performance and compliance metrics.Generate reports on quality and compliance outcomes, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvements.Utilize data analytics tools to support decision-making and enhance quality improvement initiatives.

Program Improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement projects based on data analysis and audit findings.Monitor the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.Support the tracking and resolution of quality issues and non-compliance findings.

Training and Education

Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to quality assurance and compliance for staff across the organization.Provide guidance and support to staff on quality and compliance-related matters, ensuring adherence to established procedures and best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement

Support the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and accrediting organizations.Act as a liaison between the Quality and Compliance team and other departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and handle all materials professionally.Support daily operations as needed, including assisting with program-specific quality assurance tasks.Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality and compliance processes within the organization.Perform other related duties as assigned by the AVP or Directors of Quality and Compliance. Qualifications

 

Education: An Associates Degree in Business, Human Services, or a comparable field is required. However, a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in human service or a comparable area may be considered in lieu of a degree.Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or data analysis, preferably within a healthcare or human services setting preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analytics tools.Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.Strong communication (verbal and written), presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel within the affiliate area.Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and the ability to implement quality improvement initiatives a plus.Understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
