Your role and responsibilitiesThe Quality Specialist has the role of deploying and facilitating the quality culture in electrical products within Product Line Protection and Energy Management, ensuring and controlling quality to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations and representing the customer’s voice within local teams, providing customer experience feedback and input. This is your opportunity – make a difference together with us.In this role you will be part of a global team being responsible for designing new products and their industrialization in real production facilities in Heidelberg and oversees. You will manage all aspects of quality and process improvement in cooperation with teams from production, development, and product management.The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-Hybrid• Utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to assure effective introduction of new products. Performing FMEAs and approving new parts and products according to the production part approval process (PPAP).• Implementing controls to verify that processes meet requirements, and making sure that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating risks. • Defining the needed tests and implement the required equipment from test concept and sourcing to approval for production.• Enabling and coaching employees to evaluate risks, problems, and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view. • Performing audits and using analytics to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances, and assisting in applying corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications for the roleMore than 5 years of experience in quality or operational excellence, A collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong written and spoken communication skills Knowledge of electrical products is desirable Knowledge of electronics production or plastics technology is desirable Willingness to travel until 25 % of the working time. An engineering degree and education as quality engineer or Lean Six Sigma Good spoken and written German and English language skills
