*The Impact You Can Make* * * * * *Team Impact* Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and Laboratory Administrative Director, the Laboratory Quality Supervisor oversees the laboratory’s Quality Management (QM) programs applying to all laboratory services under the hospital’s operating licenses. The Quality Supervisor manages complex projects independently and in team environments, maintaining good working relationships with multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary staff. * * *The Glens Falls Hospital Impact* *Mission* * * Our Mission is to improve the health of people in our region by providing access to exceptional, affordable, and patient-centered care every day and in every setting. * * * * *How You Will Fulfill Your Potential* * * *Responsibilities* * Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director and Laboratory Administrative Director, reviews and updates the laboratory’s Quality Management (QM) programs applying to all laboratory services under the hospital’s operating license. * Provides a Quality Management reviews to the Laboratory Medical Director and Laboratory Administrative Director at least monthly and an annual assessment of the laboratory’s quality program. * Analyzes and interprets written information and scientific data, compares against established requirements, identify potential discrepancies, and make suggestions for improvement. Including clearly communicating this information in a meaningful way to technical, non-technical, and non-laboratory individuals to achieve an appropriate level of understanding of information being presented. *Education/Accredited Programs* · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; · Minimum of four (4) years pertinent clinical laboratory experience subsequent to qualifying as a technologist of which two (2) years have been spent working with in a clinical laboratoryhaving a director at the doctorial level. · At least 2 years of laboratory supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. *Licenses/Certifications/Registrations* · Must have at least four years of experience as a NYS SED licensed clinical laboratory technologist cytotechnologist or pathologists’ assistant. · Completes required hours of technical continuing education on an annual basis according to licensure requirement. · Certifications in Quality Management, Six Sigma and/or Lean preferred. *Skills/Abilities* · Must be able to effectively communicate appropriately with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. · Must have working knowledge of computer and analytical software programs sufficient for evaluation of electronic data, data interpretation, and report development. · Strong organizational and time management skills are required. · Proficient in evaluating testing procedures for precision, accuracy, linearity, parallel testing, and reference range determination.
