Quality Control Supervisor | Batesville, MS
Job Description
As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing support for quality initiatives in facility operations, supplier quality, and material technology.
Responsibilities
+ Lead Quality Control Technicians by holding start of shift meetings and ensuring team members are in place and checked in.
+ Approve time and attendance daily, managing overtime and absenteeism.
+ Train new employees and complete performance reviews on a timely basis.
+ Address performance issues as needed.
+ Implement daily procedures and review/assess activities against internal control standards.
+ Ensure the conformance to specifications of fabrications, purchased material, and assemblies in an assigned area.
+ Interpret inspection policies and procedures and supervise the activities of personnel.
+ Verify that quality is maintained throughout the assembly process.
+ Ensure quality equipment is in place.
+ Communicate expectations of the day clearly to the team at the start of the shift.
+ Conduct daily rounds in each functional area and stay within their area of responsibility.
+ Communicate with Team Leads before leaving work area.
+ Perform end of shift 5S walk and maintain a minimum 6S audit score in managed area(s) each week.
+ Ensure Pass Down reports are communicated for the next shift.
+ Conduct initial training and assessment of quality controllers.
+ Perform other duties as assigned and qualified.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
+ 5+ years of experience in manufacturing performing a quality engineering function and/or 2+ years of experience in a quality leadership role.
+ 4+ years of leadership experience.
+ Risk Management: Ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
+ Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach production decisions based on informed judgment.
+ Planning and Organizing: Ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
+ Influencing: Ability to impact decisions within and outside the organization.
+ Process Improvement: Ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.
+ Internal Controls: Ability to create, implement, evaluate, and enhance processes in internal controls.
+ Working knowledge of prints and GD&T.
+ Working knowledge of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
+ Advanced knowledge of and skill with using statistical tools such as 5S-6S methods, Toyota Production System tools, Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
+ Advanced knowledge, participation, and leading others in the use of Continuous Improvement processes including Kaizen, VSM, SMED, PDCA, root cause analysis & corrective action methods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Advanced knowledge of and skill with using statistical tools such as 5S-6S methods, Toyota Production System tools, Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Work Environment
The position is based in a new manufacturing facility that is very clean. The role is primarily office-based.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $102000.00/yr.
