Quality Supervisor
Amentum
**Purpose:** Under limited supervision, assists and guides the QC Inspectors in the process of inspections and investigations as directed by the Assistant Quality Manager. The Supervisor is responsible for the technical inspections on APS-5 vehicles and equipment, to determine the quality of maintenance and services being performed by various project functional areas.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Supervises a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the discipline:
+ Establishes hiring boards to interview candidates for open positions.
+ Evaluates staff, comparing objectives and achievements in staff assessments.
+ Coaches employees in their professional career development and process improvements.
+ Issues disciplinary or corrective actions when needed.
+ Recommends termination or contract non-renewal when appropriate.
+ Responsible for completing Performance Evaluations as required.
+ Responsible for inspections, audits and reports on material, processes and products/services to ensure conformance with prescribed quality standards.
+ Documents discrepancies and performs follow-up inspections of corrective actions taken.
+ Collects, organizes, monitors and distributes any information related to the quality control functions.
+ Develops and reviews SOPs and Work Instructions to ensure compliance with the PWS, Army Regulations and local directives.
+ Ensures ongoing compliance with quality standards of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems.
+ Primary Point of Contact with Contracting Officer representative (COR) maintenance staff.
+ Facilitates corrective action responses and reports.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
**Education:**
+ High School diploma or equivalent required.
**Experience:**
+ 5 – 8 years of experience in the servicing, diagnosis and repair of tactical Army vehicles and equipment at the organizational and/or DS level of maintenance.
+ 5 years of experience in Quality Control (technical or project level), preferably in an Army or defense-contracting environment.
**Specialized Knowledge and Skills:**
+ Must have working knowledge of the following:
+ Army drivers licensing
+ Army TMDE calibration program
+ Army publications accounts
+ Classification of materials
+ Modification Work Orders
+ Modification Maintenance Information System (MMIS).
+ Demonstrated experience in quality data collection, analysis, and reporting.
+ Must have a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.
+ Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and other related applications.
**Certification, License & Clearance:**
+ Tier 1 NACI required for all U.S. Citizens.
**Facility credentials/authorization required** : Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
**Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:**
+ Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
+ Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
+ Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
