Quality Supervisor
Job Description

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for coordinating trials at the Champaign plant, and for serving as a Liaison for R&D and the Champaign plant.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Plant lead for product and packaging trials across the Champaign facility Act as the main point of contact for all R&D trials. Drive awareness of and adherence to the trial process in Champaign. Attend all commercialization & STAR meetings for trials in all departments Lead trial process within the plant, from the set-up point to post trial evaluations. Including: Coordinating schedule changes related to trials Coordinating with operations and lab supervisor additional resources and testing needed for each trial. Rebilling all trial cost Coordinating receiving of raw & pack material Place trial product on hold Work with Sr. Supervisor on disposition of finished product and materials. Pulling & shipping samples for R&D as required Own analytical testing results summary Attend and assist in all 30-60-90 day reviews Maintain trial schedule/status tracker, and update plant leadership and stakeholders of upcoming trials. Ensure required documentation for trial is completed (PTR, trial plan & pHACCP) Perform monthly inventory of trial raw material and R&D trial product Lead the internal to the plant process for new formulas Ensure R&D resources are providing updated information and batch sheets Audit all new & updated formula sheets, batch sheets, pre-weigh sheets, & wet spice sheets for accuracy Upload to S drive Update & audit IQS, formula database, RS batch (as applicable) for all department specification updates Drive trial process improvements Continuously audits quality systems for compliance (CCP, Manufacturing procedures, etc.) Perform other duties incidental to the job as assigned by department Supervisor/Manager

Expected Experience & Required Skills

Education or Operational experience /On the job knowledge of Food Science, Food Production, Manufacturing Quality/Operations, or other relevant environments. Knowledge of quality or production systems, procedures, & policies. Ability to manage multiple assignments, develop work plans, & prioritize. Planning and organizing skills. Detailed and action oriented. Effective communication skills (oral, written and verbal). Planning and organizing skills. Successful candidates must possess a positive focus toward solutions with emphasis on preventative pro-active measures and team-building.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is considered a Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Additionally, this role is typically, 1st shift, but must be able to work alternative shifts, and/or weekends as required.

Frequent activity; upright stance, keyboard or text input, including sedentary activity on the production areas requiring force/movement.
